Hi All,


Using the events tab to tack our golf outing and I am finding that I can't add a guest unless they are an RE constituent. For example if Mr. Smith is attending the outing and he is bringing his wife Mrs. Smith to the event she would need an RE record for me to add her to the event correct? I don't want to split the record and have two records for one family. Is there a way around this?

I can add guests that are not already full constitutent records


Maybe I'm not understanding your question - are you getting an error message telling you that you cannot add that person?

I assume you have the events module in order to have the events option in OLX?  If so, you can definitely add any registrations to RE only as a participants. They do not need to be full constituents. (Our policy says they do, if there is a gift attached to the registration.)  But we often have many non-constituent guest participants in our events.  You simply add them as participant. The downfall to this is that you can NOT link that participant to a non-constituent record. (i.e. you couldn't go to Mrs. Smiths spouse non-con record and see the events she's attended.)


Does that make sense? I'm happy to walk through it more if neeed!
