Constituent ID not exporting

Options
In a recent query and export I did, one ID# out of thousands is not being included in the query results or export. I've tried manually entering the ID into it's own query, but it still will not work.

Any thoughts?!

  • Could be a number of reasons:
    • are they marked as deceased/inactive/no valid address and those boxes are unticked at the top of the query?
    • are there any additional criteria in the query other than ID number?
    • under Tools > Query Options > Record Processing, is there another query selected that's limiting the range of records?
    • have you checked that you can find that record by looking up the ID through Records > Open a Constituent? I occasionally receive hand-typed lists of IDs where people have made a typo and the ID they've given me doesn't actually exist, or the record's since been deleted/merged.
    • is it definitely a constituent ID, not an import ID etc.?
    • which option do you have selected under Head of Household for the export? (only applicable if they're in the query results but not in the export, so probably not at fault here)
  • Also, what types of query and export are you using? I can imagine that if you were to use a constituent query with a gift export, and the person doesn't have any gifts, they probably wouldn't appear in the results.

What criteria are you including in your query? Can you post a screenshot?

  • Thanks everyone! Figured it out (very silly mistake...) query included deceased but export didn't. Guess I didn't catch this one ID initially. blush

Awesome! Glad you figured it out. I know how frustrating that can be.
