Luminate REST services and Dynamic IPs

Options
We have an internal team that is migrating our main website to a new CMS that will be hosted in Azure as web apps. These Web Apps will consume the Luminate Web Services. We need to whitelist the IPs of the web apps. The issue comes in when the web apps do not have static IPs. Has anyone else had to tackle this issue before?

Is the static IP option with Azure expensive or otherwise not an option?

    Hey Andy!

I've recently been working on an Azure Web App (in fact, one that uses Luminate Web Services), and I'll note that each app does have a static list of outbound IP addresses (usually 4). You should be able to see your outbound IP addresses in the portal by looking at the app's properties.

  • I kinda figured it would be pretty simple like that, thank you. I talked with the team that is working on the web app and they are going to get the four IPs that are assigned to the App. We are currently out space for whitelisting IPs with Luminate, IP inventory and removal here we come. Thank you all for your help.

I would assume so, but this is app is managed by another team with a separate budget, so it is their call. We are going to whitelist the 4 IPs and monitor in case they change. Thank you.

LOL, just looked at who answered this question. Of course it is you Noah! Thank you. Is there anything that you don't work with or know about?
