  • Hi Kylea-

I've been to five of them and just attended one in Boston this past Wednesday. Take a look at the agenda over here.

If you're new to Raiser's Edge and I see that you are, I think you would find them helpful. Not only for the mini-trainings, but also to network with like-minded folks. If you go to one, ask the person sitting next to you what they do and who they work for. Ask about the struggles they face with their database and any recent successes they've had. Go to another session, sit next to someone else, and ask the same questions. You'll probably get just as much out of the networking as you will the training sessions. It's free and a day out of the office with a catered lunch is always welcome.

Hey thanks for the link! Seattle (my approx location) doesn't yet have an agenda but I hope it looks like that one!

We just went to a recent roadshow!  And yes, while the mini-trainings can be handy, the networking is definitely a big part of why you want to go.  Support is helpful for many things, but sometimes you just need someone else who is elbows deep in the database to help you work through something.  :)

So helpful! I went to one in DC (not my area) as i was in DC at that time. The presentations are first rate, the attendees are all BB product users and the networking is FUN! Met good people doing good things. I really got a lot out of the training sessions. They covered and uncovered helpful tips and tricks and work-arounds I hadn't thought of. I was able to implement things I learned right away. Really appreciated the DC User Roadshow.

    Hi Kylea,

I've attended a couple in the Boston area and have found them to be extremely useful. The folks from Blackbaud are always ready and willing to share their knowledge and it's a great chance to connect with others in your area who use similar products. Helps you form a nice network of people to reach out to for bouncing ideas and the like. Hope you enjoy yourself it you are able to attend!

    Thanks!

I have attended two of these.  I went with a coworker so I didn't network as much.  However, I learned some really valuable information.  Also, I came with some very specific pain points / questions and although I wasn't able to completely resolve all the issues, I did leave with a few new ideas/approaches.  I would also recommend the online training sessions (Learn everything?) if you are just starting out.
  • I'm looking into going to the Seattle date too! Agenda is up now. I'm just trying ti figure out exactly where it is so I can find a hotel for the night before since I'm coming from Wenatchee.

    Maybe I'll see you there!

The email said June 7th, but the RSVP site says June 6th. Anyone know what the REAL date is?

    Thanks!

I just went to my first Roadshow in Atlanta yesterday and it was AWESOME. The speakers were knowledgable, and I learned something relevent in every single session. It was well executed and worth the travel! For context, I have been using RE for about 1 year.
