Hi Online Express Community! 


Huge thanks to everyone who came out today to our Planning Events in Online Express webinar! We hope the webinar is helpful for you to build your next event in Online Express! As always, you asked some great questions! There were a few questions that I wanted to provide some additional resources around:

If we already have participants loaded into the event record in RE, will registrations received through this form be matched to existing participants or create a new participant record in the event?

The Raiser's Edge will match existing participants! For example, if you added Robert Hernandez as a participant and invited him to your event, then Robert went online to register through Online Express, as long as you matched Robert's online registration to his constituent record, this would update his participant record on your event! How would we run reports on participants/registrants?  is that part of downloading transactions?  We've just upgraded to NXT and Online Express from Sphere.

Online Express will show you some basic totals like number of registrations and totals on your Event Dashboard, but you can also pull information you need in The Raiser's Edge as well. (Note: To report on participants and registrants, you will want to make sure you've downloaded all of the transactions to The Raiser's Edge.) Here are some resources with instructions on how to pull some of those reports:  Blackbaud University also offers some great courses around events, which also touch on reports available as well:  I hope this is helpful!
