Email Delivery Report Data (numbers don't add up...?)

We send out a weekly email using Convio, and we want to track several things.

1. Number of people who are sent the weekly email

2. Number of those people who actually open the email

3. Number of those people who click on the link(s) within the email (ie. clickthroughs)

4. Number of the email recipients who forward the email on to someone else

5. Number of people who unsubscribe each week.

Only the last one (number who unsubscribe) is clearly defined, by the category "Unsubscribes (opt-outs)"

So our question is, why are there different numbers for the same categories (total vs. recipient) and even within those categories, why don't the numbers add up?

Is the number of people who we send the weekly too (not including forwards from receipients) the "Total Recipients"? Or does that number include forwards, and if so, why don't those numbers match up?

Are the number of people who open the email and then the number who clickthrough the "Total -" or the "Recipient -" and again, what is the difference?

Is "Forwarded Opens" the best match to how many people forward the email on to someone else?

It is rather unclear, and we are trying to discern which numbers to track for accuracy. Can someone please help us with this? Thank you.
