BBCOB 2018 - for Programmers

 Does anyone here feel it is beneficial for programmers to attend BBCON 2018, are there any semiars geared towards users who do back end(SQL) work.

I would say there is very little hands-on, practical information for backend SQL stuff. I'm reviewing the session list for BBCON 2017 right now, looking at anything flagged as on the "IT Professionals" session track, and there's not a lot that's standing out to me. 


That said, I'm not really an IT/backend guy, so if any others here are and have found BBCON to be valuable for you, then you folks know better than me.

Before joining the fundraising world I worked in IT for thirteen years. I've been to three BBCONs over the past four years and I don' think you are going to get the technical information you are looking for at the conference. That's not to say you won't learn anything, but you're not going to find any sessions focused on tips for programmers or SQL DBAs.

I've always thought BBCON was sorely lacking on technical information.  Especially reporting and data viz.
