Consecutive Years of Giving within a Certain Range....

Options
ok, so this is hurting my brain for some reason.  I need a list of donors who in the last 7 years have given at least 2 gifts per year for 3 consecutive years. the problem is it should be any 3 consecutive years within those 7 (not just the last 3, for example). I've looked at the consecutive years report, which is nice, but i can't find a way to include only those that have given a minimum of 2 gifts per year. Thoughts?

Not sure - but I would use a query for the report. Create a consituent query that uses criteria for summary info > number of gifts greater than or equal to 2.  You would need to put a criteria for each year that your reporting on. The query would group those who gave 2 or more gifts for each year. The report would identify the consecutive donros.

In my mind that would help with your situation. don't have time to test it myself.
  • Hi Sarah,

I would enter the word "consecutive" into the Raiser's Edge topic search box and have a read through the some of the 160-odd results. Consecutive-giving query questions are very common topics in these pages. Of course, every instance is slightly different but you'll probably find several examples that are close enough to your own situation to adapt.
