EOY Campaign - Two Questions

Options

Hello,

I noticed in several of the EOY samples that you provided that agencies mentioned that they were a certain amount away from their goal that they provided in their initial appeal (i.e. we're still $10,000 away from our goal of $30,000).

My question is, did the agency simply use an arbitrary amount when filling out their EOY Campaign, or were they able to manipulate this as the campaign moved forward prior to the third message?

We would like to send out a short email setting the purpose for this EOY Campaign to ensure that we establish a context for this campaign without alienating any of our constituents. This way we can move forward without suppressing anyone as you recommended. Once I develop the email on our end, what's the next step? Is it automatically sent out to our entire housefile, or do we contact you to let you know we would like it sent out?

We want to make sure that this message is received prior to the start of the EOY Campaign.

Thanks.

Chris

  • Hi Chris,

Not a problem. We can easily use your November communication slot to build that email and send it out for you. Navigate to the documents tab here in the Go! section of community and you can see that there is a guide document called "Letter from the Desk of..." which is a template to provide content for messages exactly as you're describing. Simply provide your content to us (email it to me when complete) and I can build this email using your Convio Go! monthly communication slot.

    Talk soon,

    Adam

  • forgot to respond to the question about the goal... Patrick spoke to this during today's webinar session: setting a fundraising goal should be based on performance that you've seen in the past. If you haven't run a complete online fundraising campaign in the past, it will be difficult to nail down a meaningful and precise goal. It will definitely be a lot easier in the future to look at this campaign's performance and then work from there to set a target to try and hit.

    make sense?
