How do you remove the day of the week from the Long Date Format?

To my knowledge, if you are hosted by Blackbaud you cannot change the long date format. I checked in with chat support about it in the fall and they told me it was standard and we couldn't remove it. I've started just leaving the date field out of merges and entering it manually.

We are self hosted. The long date format for RE Mail merge letters comes from Windows. In Windows, Customize Date Format, in the Long date field, select "MMMM dd, yyyy".
