RE 7.96 and compatability with MSOffice 2016

Hi, our organisation recently upgraded to RE 7.96 patch 8 and are curretly using MS Office 2010. A number of our team are getting their computers upgraded and our IT team wish to install Office 2016 on the new computers.


I have read this KB atricle https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/98871 but my concern is that all our letters and exports and the like are all in 2010 format will they still work with 2016?


I've only been at this organisation 6 weeks so still getting to grips with all their processes but from a previous organisation I was at when we upgraded our MS Office systems integration with RE was gone and we all had to get rolled back.


Anyone got any first hand experience of this more recently? Thanks!
