We did a golf tournament registration over Homecoming weekend in October and I didn't have any problems for the information I needed out of it. I was able to set the different price types for sponsors, individuals and teams. I didn't need much else in terms of attribute tracking as my reporting basically just needed to know the number of participants separated between players and sponsors and how much money was raised. For that purpose, OLX did fine. After homecoming event tracking, I have found that trying to track attributes in OLX can be tricky and inconsistent based on each person signing up, primarily because users get confused easily when the OLX forms add attributes. Thus, I prefer to set those attributes manually after they have signed up and keep the form as simple as possible. Do you have any specific questions that I might be able to help?

We're also setting up a golf tournament in OLX for the first time. We've done other large events with table sponsors, individual registrations, etc. and events with gift or participant attributes, some definite limitations but no problems. My issues with the golf tournament are stemming from add-on purchases that we normally do at the time of registration - mulligans, raffle tickets, special shots, contest participation. These are not separate registrations just add-on items for the registrant. Has anyone found a way to handle this type of situation? Right now the best we can come up with is to use gift attributes to collect the add-on items with quantities and invoice for those items at a separate time.
