What format do you export your report to be able to edit it and not lose data?

Options
I used to be able to use Microsoft  Word.Editable to export my custom report in Raiser's Edge. As of yesterday it did not work.My other option was to export to a PDF and then convert to word. Is there any easier solution?

  • What kind of report are you talking about exactly, and what kind of data are you trying to get at?

If you're trying to make an editable format for something, it's typically easier to use Export instead of Report, but that of course depends on what you're specifically trying to do.

  • I have a family of
Report that is based on and export query and crystal report design
that i am trying to export. I tried the  PDF to Word
converter, it is a formatting nightmare.

I think Rich  Text Format works the same way as Word editable.

Could it suddenly not working be because of an MS update?  Like what happened with trying to export into CSV or Excel formats a couple months ago?  Should be reported because there may be a fix or a work around floating out there.
