Raiser's Edge updates/integration with Evertrue

Hello,


We recently went live with Evertrue. I have been told by the folks at Evertrue that regular updates to the data should be provided, and can be automated to run fairly consistently. For those who may have Evertrue, have you been able to automate your update? How was this done? If not, what is your process for updating? How long does this process take? We are using Raiser's Edge and RE:NXT and we are hosted through Blackbaud.

I can't speak to the most current ituration of Evertrue, but we used the platform 3 or so years ago and when I uploaded data to their system, I made sure to include the RE Import ID. I was able to export their data with the Import ID and import it into RE. Not automated, but not all that difficult either.

Hi Kelly, 


I would be happy to talk through our process of updating data in EverTrue. It is not completely automated, as you have to export the files to excel and then run them through a macro, but I have brought it down from 1.5 hours of just formatting the files per day to a few seconds.


We do not upload full files each day (with the exception of proposals), so we are only pulling records that have been updated yesterday (or a range of days for the weekend) which cuts down on the export time considerably.

You can make importing easier by using either ImportOMatic or Zeidman's Importacular (free for basic importing of Constituents and Gifts).

Hi Kelly,

The exporting of Constituent records takes the longest time unless you filter by last update.  The export of Interactions and Proposals go quickly.  I ran into issues linking proposals to interactions, and extracting all proposals for a constituent.  I ended up creating an excel macro spreadsheet that processes proposals and interactions, looks up interactions to a proposal, and identifies up to 3 solicitors for a proposal or interaction, and distributes the amount between them, and created the file for importing into EverTrue.  To create the proposal export, and associated interactions, I wrote a SAS program to process the data that is then used by excel.
