do not mail

I am working on our annual statements and want to mail each one out. Some of our constituents are listed as do not mail but I want to override that. Any clue on how to do that?

I don't like the 'do not mail' checkbox for exactly this reason. If you've checked that box, it should mean absolutely do not mail this person under any circumstances. It sort of sounds like you're using that checkbox as a shortcut to a "do not solicit" code. I would suggest the long term fix for this is to start using a solicit code for these folks instead of the checkbox.


But for now, the only real work around is to change all of the records temporarily. Probably the easiest way to do this is:


1.) Query for anyone with that checkbox checked and save this as a static query

2.) Globally change those folks to uncheck the box

3.) Do your mailing/reporting whatever

4.) Use that static query to re-check the boxes once you're done.


Just make sure nobody creates a solicitation mail file in the interim.
