Credit for Solicitor

I was working on yer end numbers and cleaning up our database I noticed that many gifts weren't properly credited to the solicitor. I've been unable to find a way to do this after the gifts have been committed. Does anyone have any insight?

There is an import type of Gift Solicitor which can be used to add solicitors to existing gifts. You'll need the gift import ID and amount, and also the import ID for the solicitor's record.

Solicitor assignments can definitely be made even though gift is committed or even posted. Alan's post probably the best way to accomplish this.


Do you mean that there is no solicitor relationship for the constituent at all to the solicitor and that needs to be added? Do you mean solicitor is has the relationship but gift did not get credited to the solicitor?  Is is for just a few select solicitors or a large scale issue?


Are the solicitor assignments for an appeal? If so, unless it changed for your version, you can not import solicitors to appeals. Only to funds and/campaigns.
