Can you import data to find constituent attributes?

Options

Is it possible, using the import function, to import an Xcel doc of names to check for things like “Do Not Solicit?” We have a grateful patient list that our medical software outputs, and we’re hoping for an easy way to cross-reference that with particular attributes such as “Do Not Solicit.” We are currently going line-by-line down the list and checking each RE record.

Do you have a unique identifier you can use?  If so, you could export your entire database (yes, it will take a while depending on the size of your dayanase, but will be worth it)and do a VLookup on that unique identifier in the gratefu patient list and return the value you are interested in finding...

    Most do have phone numbers.
  • Hi,

If you haven't already done so, instead of exporting your entire database and doing a vlookup (which will work too), try doing a constituent query with a "One of" using the phone number.  See what you get.  Then you would just export those with a matching phone number and do a vlookup and add in the constituent or sort id key to the spreadsheet you are working with.

    Thanks,

    Brenda
