Reporting question

Hi all,


I've been banging my head on this one for a while, and can't seem to manipulate a report to give me what I want. Export isn't working for this either. Let me 'splain...


We would like to run a report of one consituency (in this instance, current families) and their giving to a particular campaign this year. We want it to include their ask amount and solicitor. The caveat is we need to show the non-donors in that consituency as well. So basically a list of all of the consituents, with their contribution (or no contribution) to XYZ campaign, and what they gave (if they did) the year prior, and who their solicitor is currently.


Can anyone take a stab at telling me how to do this or know of a canned report that may be a start? We're in our first year with RE; I've maintained a spreadsheet with this data for the last 10+ years which has been effective, but was hoping to avoid doing that. Though I'm starting to piece that together right now because time is of the essence.

Hi Carol, you should be able to do this with a Constituent export.


Create a constituent query with the criteria of cons code = current families.


Create a constituent export, based on the above query.  That will export everyone that has that cons code, regardless of giving.  

Include gift amount or other fields, when it prompts you with the Gift Criteria window, select the XYZ campaign and date range if necessary (for current campaign year?)

Include Summary Information, Gifts, Total Gift amount.  Then select last year's campaign and/or date range to give you "what they gave (if they did) the year prior"

Include Relationships, Assigned Solicitors, Name for their current solicitor (if that is where you enter this info).  


You also mentioned ask amount, do you need that  in the export?  Do you store that in Proposals?
