Global Add from list of IDs when query doesn't exist

Is there a way to do a global add to a list of constituent IDs when there is no query for the list. I have done a lot of clean-up on an event mailing list and now I would like to do a global add action to these individuals.  Is this possible?

If you have the list of Con IDs in a excel file you can set up a query very simply that you can then do the global add to


Just select a constituent query


Criteria would be Constituent ID one of - then copy the list of con ids from your spreadsheet (every cell but the header cell in the spreadsheet), click to the bottom of the constituent ID one of pasting window and paste. It will look like nothing is there but when you click ok you will see all the numbers in the criteria


Save the query and use that for the global action

You can do one of 3 things -


1) create an import file from the list you have and import the actions instead of global add.

2) copy and paste the constituent IDs from your file into a query "one of" criteria. You just have to scroll to the bottom of the one of screen and then click paste then scroll back up and there they are. There is a limit of 500 you can paste into a single "one of" so if you have more you will need to do multiple one of's with or's between them. Use this query in your global add.

3) import a file with just the constituent IDs. during the import it will match on ID and replace the ID with the same ID (essentially doing nothing to your data) but you can set up the import to create an output query. Use the output query in your global add.
