Defining Appeal Name and Package when adding Online Express Stats

Options
Hello, hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Currently seeing whether or not we should add the email marketing stats to the constituent's record and just wondering if it was possible to define what the appeal and package will be called before we commit it.

If not, is the other way to manage it is to add the stats and then do a global update to change the appeal and package name?

Thank you in advance for your help!

  • OLX will create the Appeal Record with an Appeal ID of "BBOX_____" and the Description as the Subject Line and Date Sent appended at the end.

After you push the data, you can edit the Appeal Record however you wish.  HOWEVER, if you change the Appeal ID and then re-push the data, OLX will create a new Appeal Record and new tags on the applicable Constituent Records.  I believe (but you'll want to test this to be sure I'm remembering correctly and nothing has changed since) that you can change the Description and so long as you don't edit the ID that OLX assigns, you can re-push the data whenever you'd like and it will just update the Response Field on the Constituent Records.  I know at my last org that I would go in and add Appeal Dates, Attributes, Notes, etc.  I think (and this is where you really want to test!) that you can also assign Packages after pushing the data over and those will remain intact even if you re-push the data again later.

There are Ideas in the OLX Idea Bank about allowing Users to create the Appeal Record and associate it with an OLX Message, so that we can use whatever we'd like for ID & Description, but I'm not sure if that's on the roadmap or not.  Post links to any Ideas you find that are related so others can go vote!  There are probably others, but I quickly searched and found this Idea which seems to be close.

As I said, I would test...send an OLX Message to a List consisting of just your own record or a dummy record with email addresses you can access/check.  Push the data, make edits & assign a Package, re-push the data, see what happened.  Report back here...especially if I'm wrong about something!...  Hope you're able to do most of what you're looking to do!
