Where to save 'care of' addresses on the donor record?

Hello!


We recently converted to RE and have been using it for about 4 months. Is there a good place to save addresses that are only used for acknowledging special donations? We have major donors who donate stock and request that the ack letter be sent to the attention their fund manager per IRS regulations. Does anyone have any experience with this and perhaps any ideas as to the best place in RE to store this information? It doesn't seem to belong in the address tab and I'm curious how others handle this situation.

Hi Sam-


I believe Blackbaud would recommend you enter that address in the Address Tab, but give it an Address Type such as Special Acknowledgements, Fund Manager, or something to that affect. When you generate letters you can use Address Processing to specify that the Special Acknowlegement address should be used first if it exists, then Preferred Address next if it does not exist, etc...
