4 Slider pics on home page

Hello!  I am new to Luminate/Blackbaud and struggling to find where I can change the four slider pictures on my new event.  Is there anyone that can provide me direction on this?

Hi Phil!  Thank you for responding, hope you can help as I just can't figure it out.    It's the four sliders which there's two on it done by Blackbaud but can't figure out how to add new ones AND add to a new fundraiser which I'm guessing is the same way.

Hi Angela,


Try looking here in Luminate:


Fundraising -> TeamRaiser -> <search for this teamraiser>  I think it might be called ops fc fundraiser, but ya never know.


Then in the Action column, click Edit


Go Step 13. Customize Pages.  This might be on the Greeting page or on a Custom Page. Use tabs on right side of page called TeamRaiser Pages and Custom Pages. You can search for 'slide-1-1040.jpg' as this is the first image in the slideshow. Then you should be able to swap out images. Just remember to make them the same size as the ones you are swapping out.


If you are looking to add this to another TeamRaiser, you are going to have to find all the code taht builds this. They are using a 'carousel' so you need to find the CSS, most likely in your PageWrapper and copy that to the new PageWrapper for the new TeamRaiser.

Hi Phil,


I walked through all the steps and for the life of me, I cannot find this 'slide-1-1040.jpg' to replace in which I initally thought it would be part of the Customize Pages but sadly can't find it anywhere.


I did find where I need to copy over the carousel in the PageWrapper so that's good, just if I can change the actual images! ha 


Please let me know if you can think of anything else.

I just went to refesh the page, but now the carousel is not appearing.


Maybe the images are in the Page Wrapper.


If you can get that back working I can take another look.

Your wrapper may be built differently than ours - but for us, the 'slide show' or 'carousel' is part of a reusable part that is referenced by an S-tag in the wrapper.  This reusable is found in the Page Builder folder named for your event.  Pagebuilder => Folder name => reus_TeamRaiser_Slideshow_EventName    The images are then updated with the url to the image library.

Thank you kindly for your response.  I was able to add the four slider photos as you had stated below which worked great however it's just showing the 4 photos instead of the slider/carousel effect.  Assume this has something to do with the coding, here's part of the coding...any chance you can tell me what's incorrect in this?

I am not a great resource for any type of coding....  I do not know how to code, I limp through editing the original code written for us.  I have found this reusable part to the very sensitive to change.  But below is a snippet from a carousel/slide show that is working, and includes what I refer to as the "caption buttons" with workin links.

Hi, are you trying to update the carousel images on this TeamRaiser or are you trying to do it for a new TR that uses this wrapper?

The images for this TeamRaiser are in the image library. This is in Library --> Image Library.  If you want to replace slide-1-1040.jpg, search for it in the Image Library, edit it, and upload an new image. Do not delete any images inthe Inmage Library. It is also not necessary or advised to update the reusable code. I would revert to the previous version that was published before you amde these changes.


​I am attaching the documentation for making updates to this design.


If you want to use this wrapper for a different TR, you can specify the new images for the new TR by uploading image files to the Image Library with  filenames that include the event ID (FR_ID) for that TR. So if the new TR has a URL of http://rh97.convio.net/site/TR?fr_id=1234&pg=entry, its event ID is 1234 and slider images should be named slide-1-1234.jpg. They need to have this filename when they are uploaded. It is not possible to change the file name once they are in the image library. You can usually change the filename in Windows by double clincking on the file in Windows Explorer.


The logo also needs to be uploaded in the Image Library. The logo for the event you sent us is called logo-1040.png in the Image Library. If you were going to upload a logo for a different event it should have the same name, but updated with the new event ID. Here are the image size guidelines for these images:

 

• Slides: 1140px wide x 485px height

• Logo: 300px wide x 110px height
