We are using Raiser's Edge NXT and manually enter our gifts into QuickBooks.  Has anyone found an efficient way to import gifts directly into QuickBooks?

    Yes.  We run an Export for each batch out of Raiser's Edge that is as close to the QuickBooks import format as possible.  Then we run a macro on the resulting Excel spreadsheet which finishes formatting it.  Then it's ready to import into QuickBooks.  The hardest part is getting the macro set up in the first place because you need someone who can write Visual Basic code.  Might be a good project for your IT team, a volunteer, or an intern depending on the size of your organization.  Once the macro is written you can use it over and over and it saves a TON of time.
