Can I turn off unhelpful message on Event RSVP?

Options

When you set up a free RSVP event, this message automatically shows up under the "Sign me up" button:

Once you have reservations, you can still click Sign Me Up to increase or decrease the number of people in your party (subject to availability).

This may be technically true but it's specifically something we DON'T WANT people to do for the event I'm setting up. Only one party from their school is allowed, and we don't want to imply anything to the contrary. But so far as I can see there's no way to get rid of this "helpful" little message. If anyone can point me to a way to do it I'd appreciate.

  • I'm on support hold right now, seeking an answer to this same question.

    The answer:

    1) Open Setup > Product Configuration

    2) Make sure you are in the Message Catalog Editor tab

    3) From the Application pull-down menu, choose "Calendar"

    4) In the search bar, type "reservation" and click "search"

    5) You should see the problem text as one of five messages you can edit. Click "edit custom" next to the message in question, and edit away.

Thanks Dana. Unfortunately I don't seem to have "Product Configuration" under the Setup pulldown. I have super-user status so I thought everything was available to me, but either we're configured differently or I'm missing something. The quest goes on I guess...

It's the fifth item down the list for me. Sorry that didn't help, but perhaps you can find the catalog via a different avenue.

I did a search on it in Community Discussions and I gather it's not turned on for all installations. Have to contact your Account Manager about it if not. Thanks for the info, though!
