Solicitor Teams & Captains

Hi, everyone.  We've used solicitors for a few years.  Now we'd like to use the teams and captains.  We want a 3-tier system (Chairs, Class Capt, Solicitors).  It looks like RE allows for only 2-tiers, Captain and Teams, made up, of course, of the individual solicitors. 

Can I set up the names of our Chairs as Captains, then give the names of the Class Captains as the Team names and finally assign the solicitors to the appropriate team? It seems like it would work; can anyone see any issues with this approach?  Are there other hang-ups to be aware of using teams and captains?

Yes, it should work. Below is a screen shot (if I did it correctly - or an attachment of the shot). We've always had Chairs, Division Chairs, Captains and then Teams. This structure has worked for us. 


Only drawback is that when running the solicitor analysis report it pulls everyone selected in alpha order. No way to have it report on division or teams without specifically just choosing those solicitors.

​Great, thanks, Joann!  But if you can't show the divisions in a report, how do you report on which team is doing what?

LOL - good question. Per our sales pitch 10 years ago it was possible. Per several conversations with support over the years, not really available in one report. We've created solicitor performance analysis reports specific to a division or team - just pulling those solicitors. The reality for us, based on what our CEO/CDO want, we take the report and repackage it into Excel. I think I put that in as a suggestion years ago to have the option to organize report by teams.


The Solicitor Goal Summary does list everyone in their teams and what they've raised, goal $, # assigned, $ of donrs, not their specific assigned records and gift amounts.
