CT dropdown with static options

I currently have a dropdown menu in one of our content types configured with a few static options (as opposed to using one of the "dynamically build" items). I could roll them over into a content category, but that isn't really necessary - this is for DT configuration only, and not for site cross reference.

I can't seem to get the label back out on the display template side. I've tried accessing the item directly and as various list values, but it always comes back blank. Any ideas?

Sadly, the static options don't work that way. You really need to roll them over into a content category if you want to do anything public-facing with them.
