Switching to a 'Membership' based organization?

Hi folks,


First post here (hopefully this is the right forum!).


Our organization is considering switching to a yearly dues membership system - currently, we only send out our Annual Appeal and a LYBUNT mailing in the spring. My question is, what is the best way to transition our database to match that of a annual membership renewal system in Raiser's Edge? We don't currently utilize the 'Membership Module', but perhaps we should?


Have any other organizations transitioned into a yearly membership program?
