Crystal Report 11 Exports/Saves to PDF only one page

Options
I have a situation where 2 of my users on RE 7.95 can run a custom crystal report but can only export or save the first page to a pdf. It's not the print/export selection button where you select the current page that causes this. I haven't had any trouble doing this on Windows 2012R platform with RE 7.95, mind you I'm also using an older adobe product. Could this be a windows 10 Issue or Adobe issue or,sigh...a new RE feature.  I have a computing backgraoudn and have worked with RE for 9 years but I just haven't run across this until now. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

  • Wow, that’s one I’ve not heard of
    before.

Have you tried “printing” to PDF?  This
would use the PDF printer programming rather than Crystal’s PDF
    export feature.

That would be my first thought as well. We always have to print to PDF rather than exporting, since we use a nonstandard font in our organization. If we export to PDF a lot of times it shows up as rows of little black dots.
  • I have had some issues where other users can open and view subreports, but not print them or export them to pdf, only the first (Main report) page.

Not sure if this is related to your problem, but see BB support answer (05/2016) below.

Unfortunately, this issue is a bug in RE. It has been submitted to our Product Development for review but we do not have an ETA on when the issue will be resolved. In the meantime, we will have to use the workaround and print the report directly through the Crystal Reports program. I will link your case to our Knowledgebase article below so that you will be notified when the fix is released.

On-demand subreport does not export or print when previewing through the Custom Report module of RE:

  • Thanks for your answers and suggestions. Sorry for my slow response but testing and work issues have kept me busy. I think you hit the nail on the head Cathleen. I couldn't find that information previously when I searched the knowledge database. I'm certainly glad I have dragged my feet upgrading from 7.93. I still fail to see the benefits from what was to what is but that's a discussion for another forum cheeky. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.
