Luminate Online cross-reference to RE...

Options
Hello all,

Does anyone know how to access the Comments section in L/O to export to the RE plug-in.  Totally know how to use the cross-refernce, but we are having trouble with the comments coming over to RE.   Can we do this?

Specifically we have tributes that we have a Comment section, where the donor can put in information.  That information can be crucial but it doesn't come over to our plug-in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a great day!

Hi there! Took me a bit to figure this one out as well. The comments cross over to the Gift Notes fields:

But how do you map the question in LO to an attribute in RE so that it flows through the RELO plugin?

  • We are having the same issue. We have a comments section on our donation page and we cannot find where to view/access/download the comments. We cannot find it in Luminate or in Raiser's Edge. Any suggestions?
  • Hi Alyssa,

If you know the field name, you can use Report Writer to get all the values,.

Go to Data Management -> Reports

On the secondary menu choose Report Writer, then Create New Report button.

    1. Report Selection -> Transactions

    2. Radio button for Transactions details

    3. Click Next

    4. Select the fields you want to report on. There are a lot in here, but we usually use:

    Net Transaction Amount

    Original Value Transacted

    Ledger Transaction Amount

    Contact ID

    RE Cons ID

    Transaction Date

    Billing First Name

    Billing Last Name

    Billing Email

    Form ID

    Form Title

You would add the comments field to this list. But totally up to you what fields you want to include on here.

    Click Next,

I skip step 4 since you can filter in Excel, which is probably best way to look at these reports (Click Next)

    5. Here is where you pick the donation form you want to report on and set the range

You can do Form ID filter and then put your form name in. (remember to save, this is a bit funky)

I just do another filter for Creation Date is In Predefined Range of all

    6. Name your repot

    7. Review it and either save it so you can run it at a later date or just run it, but then you will have to create it again.

Let us know how it  goes.

    Phil
