Donation Report - custom details

Hi, I've had a request to provide donation transaction details in a specific way that I thought would be straight forward but seems to be more difficult. 

This is what we need:


Transaction report on all donations made sep 1 2016 to sep 12 2017 sorted into 3 different lists:

 

1. NEW (constituent profile creation date was date of 1st donation)

2. EXISTING (constituent was in the system before donation but this was their first donation)

3. PREVIOUS (they've donated before)

I thought maybe I could use the field [Transaction Information - Last Transaction Date] but it isn't available to choose from in custom reports, which seems to make this report difficult to run.  Any ideas?  Thanks,

Firgured out a way using the Donations By Transaction report.  In item 6 (Gift Filtering) it allows you to select the donor status type you want, and each corresponds to one of the reports I wanted.  I just ran the report 3 different times selecting one of the options each time.
