Let's play a game! As you may (or may not) know, Social Insights and Wealth Reporting were recently released in LO Beta and are chock full of insights into your constituency that could change the game as far as how you interact and engage. Here's how the game works:

1. Log in to LO Beta and take a look at your social insights and wealth reporting data.

2. Did you find something surprising? Learn something new? Post it below with a screenshot to show others what you found!

(Feel free to blur/crop out names or other sensitive data if need be.)

For example: "I didn't know that Scarlet Johansson was a constituent!" [screenshot] or "I didn't realize that most of my consitituents were on Twitter, when we've been focusing our social media efforts on Instagram!" [screenshot]

Let's explore the surprising gems hidden within our reporting and maybe learn a new thing or two about our community!

  • It was great to see and confirm that we're spending time on the correct social networks. We did have a surprise, however, and that was LinkedIn. Almost half of our constituency uses that platform and as a result we'll be strategizing around how to use the platform best.65085cc3322656b8598e7923526901c2-huge-un
  • Actually pretty fascinating!

What would be great would be if there were some stats of industry average in here (or is there and I'm overlooking it?!)

For example this graph is interesting but I dont' know if this is above average/below, etc.

  • I think this is a great report and I am sharing it with my marketing team.  I have to admit, the one piece of data that really surpised me....People are still using Myspace? LOL
  • Lovin' these so far! I'll admit, I didn't know people were on myspace anymore either. ...Maybe it's so uncool that it's cool again? :D
  • Surprised to see LinkedIn so high and Instagram so low. May need to rethink priorities.

Great feedback Joanne.  We are always looking at ways to better improve the social insights reports and include more industry averages. Your matches and reach is more to understand the total reach you have on social, so that you can effectively build more multi-channel campaigns focused around engaging those top influencers and driving engagement to some of your key initiatives.  Please don't hesitate to pass along any features enhancements in the Ideas Portal, so we can track and research.  Thanks.

Sara, Reporting on social media followers does depend on getting matches with accounts on those services - and historically the Instagram service has returned very low match rates (so your actual following may be disproportionately greater).

  • Ours doesn't seem to be working

    Kim,

Could you please file a support ticket about this issue so we can get this fixed?  Also, we were working to fix this pdf issue and will get an update for you.

  • I thought our age range was interesting. It skewed younger than I envisioned, although it only found age info for 13% of our constituents.

Is there any training on how to use this functionality?

    Hi David -

This Community post describes how to access and learn more about the report:  https://community.blackbaud.com/blogs/4/3824

You can also learn more about it in the Quarterly Update webinar posted here:  https://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/5/34342?post_id=128184#p128184

If there is something particular that you would like to see covered differently or more thoroughly, please let us know!  For the most part, it's good for understanding the channels that your supporters use in social media, and how you can best focus your efforts to reach those supporters.

    Thanks,

    Colleen

    Hi David,

For the social report, you should be able to log into Beta and download it from the Social Report tab.

As for Lists, there are some quick videos that were created when the feature was first released. We are looking into creating fuller trainings on the Luminate Beta features.
