editing pages in pagebuilder

Options

I'm not even sure how to search this forum for advice - so I apologize if this is covered somewhere I wasn't able to find accurate search results.

My probably has an older version of Convio. When I'm editing a version of a page the options are to Cancel, Save or Apply.

There doesnt seem to be a Preview. And Apply seems to be the same thing as Save. Once a page is saved a particular way, you can preview it from the Page Library, but when changing the HTML I can't find a way to preview.

Also, for some reason Convio on my computer does not have the option to see the page layout version, only the source code.

I'll get three quarters of the way through a page then accidentally mess up the tables and I have to start from scratch.

Any one have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Emily

  • Hey Emily -

Sounds like a lot of things might be solved by enabling the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). When you are editing a version of a PageBuilding page, click on the icon in the top right corner of the toolbar that looks like a piece of paper and a pencil (by scrolling over it, it will read, "Enable WYSIWYG"). By enabling this, you'll be able to create a page in WYSIWYG and not have to do it in code (note: once you've enabled this, you can easily switch back to see what the code looks like by clicking on the "Source View" button at the bottom of the page).

It's true though, you can't see what the entire page looks like until you click "Save" or "Apply." However, you shouldn't have to go all the way out to the Page Library to preview the page. Once you click "Save" or "Apply" and are taken back to the previous screen, there is an icon in the top right corner that looks like a piece of paper (by scrolling over this icon, it reads, "Show Page Preview"). Once you click on this icon, another window should open showing you a preview of the page.

    Hope that helps!

    Heidi
