sorting constituents by date of entry/sign-up

We're trying to retroactively match our user base with events and messages so we can tell what's been profitable and get an idea of interests.

Is there a way to sort constituents by the date they were entered, uploaded, or signed up?

It's not an automatic field when I do a user download. I don't see a report that would work. Is there a way to do this with queries? (Hopefully not having to run separate queries for every date!) Do I need to get Support to do something custom?

Ideally I'd like to download this as a CSV/XLS.

Any ideas?
