Duplicates - Are they communicated to twice?

I am expecting to upload about 30K emails early next week but I am expecting maybe 10% of these will already be in our system.

We have in the past removed DUPES but with an email scheduled to go out on Tuesday we may not be able to remove all of the dupes in time.

QUESTION: If I do not remove or merge DUPLICATE records will they receive TWO emails if we send?

As I have learned from experience, Convio will not send duplicate emails to the same record more than once.  However, if you have more than one constituent record with the same email address, they will receive more than one email.

Does anyone see the need to send a given message to a given email address more than once?

I would prefer that, for the purposes of sending an email message, it deduped strictly by email address and not by record.
