Conditionalize content based on event date

Is there any way to use S tags to conditionalize content on the greeting page of a teamraiser based on the event date?

For example, I have prominent "Register" buttons on my greeting page that I would like to have not display once I am 2-3 days away from the event and registration is closed. Otherwise, I have to manually remove these links. I'd rather have it based on the S48 days-to-event, but not sure the syntax to use for a comparison in an if statement. Eg. If >=2, show the register button, if less than 2, show something else.

Here's my starting point:

]::10:how register button:on't show register button]]

Looking to replace "10" with some kind of comparison operator.
