When performing an import/export, what happens with offline gifts?  Some are unconfirmed, but others are confirmed because we've received the checks.  Either way, we need to seperate UNCONFIRMED gifts when importing to Blackbaud, because those gifts are already entered in Raiser's Edge.

Hi Merrell,

Are you saying that you want to bring over the confirmed offline gifts because they haven't been entered into Raiser's Edge, but your offline unconfirmed gifts have been entered into RE so you want to prevent them from coming in?  My guess is that you meant the opposite of that - confirmed gifts are already in RE, unconfirmed aren't.  If this assumption is correct, an easy way that I use to filter out offline gifts is to simply delete out gifts with the Payment Method column - may be named slightly differently depending on what report you're pulling - with a value of "Cash" or "Check."  That gets everything, though.  If you do want to bring over unconfirmed gifts - say as a pledge, though I wouldn't recommend doing this - you might want to check for a settlement date.  I believe that offline gifts are only given a "Settlement Date" once they are confirmed by your team.
