Is there a way to limit the availability of certain ticket types according to date?

I'd like to offer an 'early bird' price for the tickets for an event, but I can't find an option to limit the availability of certain ticket types according to dates. Does anyone have some insight?

There is no way to do that automatically right now.  What you can do is create the non-early-bird type and give it a security category of Administator so that it's hidden from view.  Then, on the day, go in and set the early-bird type to Admin and the regular one to General (or whatever category you use for your public users).  It's a little manual, but you can front-load most of the manual work to when you set up the event so the only thing you need to do is toggle a couple drop downs and click save...
