Personal Events Set-up issue

I have two questions relative to our personal events front page found here:

http://www.readfortherecord.org/site/GetTogether?cal_activity_id=1020&gettogether=activity_splash

1.) Our fundraising therm is reflecting funds raised from last year's campaign. Can you give me step be step instructions on how to start this from zero?

2.) The two main links on the front page are "Host an Event" "Find an Event to Attend". Can these link titles be edited, if so where? And are you able to input creative images for the links similar to teamraiser instead of just link text?

Thank you!

Jay

  • Can anybody help with this? Our thermomter is showing our fundraising efforts from last year's campaign still. Does this have to do with the donation form? Event association? Help! See below for details...

    Jay,

If you are using the same donation campaign and form from last year, it will show those figures. Try a new fundraising campaign.

Thanks for the response James. I not quite sure what is going on.

We have a 2009 donation campaign (Jumpstart's Read for the Record 2009) and a 2009 form (Very Virtual Bookdrive 2009 Donation Form). When I look at the attributes for these they don't appear to be connected to a past campaign. When I hit "adjust thermometer" I can only increase it and not decrease.

Should I be checking something in specific within the forms or campaigns?

  • You have run into a limitation of the adjust thermometer process. You can't adjust it downward or reset it to $0.

If you will open a Support case and give them the name of the Donation Campaign they will be happy to reset the adjustment to $0.

James' suggestion of creating a new Campaign would also work, but I think having Support fix the existing one is a better option.

And yes, there are several open Feature Requests to improve your options regarding thermometer adjustment!
