Supress welcome series constituents

We've launched our welcome series and I would like to exclude these individuals from our regular communications.


I just want to make sure I'm on the right track. I’m thinking I need to create a query that excludes anyone that has registered 11 days ago. Because that’s how long it takes someone to be out of the series. So I was thinking it might be better to exclude someone that registered 13 days ago, that way they get some kind of email break.


Am I missing another way to accomplish this? thank you!

Maria, check this Welcome Series Setup Guide that contains detailed instructions for creating suppression group.


Records can be added to suppression group in one of three ways:

1. Via the Members tab > Add new members of the group.
2. Through the Groups tab on an individual Constituent Record.
3. Via Custom Constituent Import – the best option for adding a large number of records manually.

Hi Maria,


We use a query to find any constituents that are in any of our Welcome Series groups and then use that group as a suppression group and add it as a Do Not Email Group(s) to each of our e-mail campaigns. (Welcome Series Do Not Email) This way the group is dynamically built and you don't have to manually update it.
