Acknowledgement letters

Options
New RE user here - we went to run our acknowledgement letters and all the gifts that were entered in the timeframe we asked for are marked "Acknowledged" so no criteria came back. How would this have happened?  We did not mark them as Acknowledged in our batch.

    You looked at the gift record and they are marked as acknowledged?  If so, can the date tell you anything? Did batch happen to be done on a different date than you tried to run letters?  if it didn't happen in batch (be sure acknowledged field is not hidden in the batch with a default set to acknowledged), someone must have run the gifts through acknowledge Mail. They may have started process and cancelled but if they got past the question to mark the gifts, they were marked.


    If it's all gift in a batch for a specific date and you can easily group them in a gift query, it's not too hard to do a global change to change the acknowledged status to not acknowledged and delete the date. Then run acknowledgement process again.

    If you just get the pop-up when running Mail, check a record or two.  If the gift record is not marked as acknowledged, check your filters, all the check boxes on tab 1, do you have the right records selected?  Gift date etc. Sometimes the pop-up can be from a simple oversight in the set up.
