Adding Constituents to a Group

Options

So you have a group, and you would like to manually add a constituent record (or records) to that group.  There are two ways to manually do this.  The first method is from within the group itself.  On the "Members" tab of the group, you will see a link that says "Add Members"

Then you will see a list of blanks where you can enter biographical information for constituents.  If this information does not match existing constituents, the records will be created.  If there is a possible match in your Constituent360 already, the system will ask you if you meant to place that record in the group:

Another way to add constituents to a group is through their constituent profile.  If you navigate to the groups tab on a constituent's profile, you will see a listing of the groups that they are a part of.  Under that list is a list of all available groups on your site.  You can search that group to find the group that you would like to add your constituent to.

Once you find the group you would like, check the box next to the group (or groups) and click on the button "Add checked groups"

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The constituent is not yet saved as in the group, though the group name will appear with the rest of the groups that the constituent is a member of - you must click "Save" to save the group membership.

Tip: To add a constituent to a group with this method, you can also forgo the step "Add Checked Groups" - if you check the groups in the group search box and click on "Save" this will save the constituent's group membership.
