welcome series - updating msgs without sending dups?

We've made updates to our welcome series messages, but built them as new messages so that we could report on them separately from the previous welcome series messages. How can I be sure that people who already received welcome series msg #1 don't receive it again (new welcome series msg #1)? Is that possible?

Hi Amy,


As long as you are still using the same queries to generate your audience, then it should be ok. Your constituents that hae already received it will not again.

A quick and dirty way would be to pull the recipients of the first series into a group and then suppress them from the new series.
