Bounce backs

Hello,

We currently are using Blackbauds Spark to do our emails.  We are looking into OLX.  I was wondering how OLX handles bounce backs. Does it do anything to the email address in RE? Does it make it inactive?  Thanks

OLX does not automatically do anything in RE.


Unsubscribes and Hard Bounces will be excluded for future messages sent, but if you want to see what emails are excluded when looking at RE records, you have to set up a system to do that.  Currently, OLX will provide you with an Appeal Record and Appeal tags on all of the records that received the email.  The Appeal Response will show you who Gave, Clicked, Opened, Received, Opted-Out, or Bounced.  Unfortunately, at this time, OLX does not differentiate between a Hard Bounce and a Soft Bounce.  You can pull a list of Unuseable Emails from OLX, which provides some additional information about the type of bounce.  In my last job, I changed the Phone Type on those email addresses to indicate that that address was an unsubscribe or hard bounce...using queries and global changes.  (I personally like a different Phone Type rather than the Inactive checkbox, because querying on Phone Type is easy and querying on Inactive Phone is more complicated.)
