Report identifying constituents who have opted-in or -out of an Interest in the last 7 days

I've almost succeeded in getting Report Writer to give me a report of each user who has opted-in/-out of a particular Interest. For example,

     person1@example.com     eNewsletter(1021) Opt-In Group

     person2@example.com     eNewsletter(1021) Opt-In Group

     person3@example.com     eNewsletter(1021) Opt-out Group

This actually works as long as you only deal with one interest and don't care about time range. (Reason is, the Report Writer's Interaction report is the only one I could find that includes "Groups" as a column, so if you limit your report to only one interest, you're fine because one person can belong to an interest's opt-in group or opt-out group but never both.) OK, I can live with that.

What I want now is to limit the results to constituents who have CHANGED their opt-in/out status in the last 7 days. I'm not greedy -- I don't care if they opted-in/out of the interest in question or some other interest in my system. I tried adding a Report Writer filter on Modification Time, but it appears that changing an Interest doesn't update Modification Time.

Anyone try to do this, successfully?

Take a look at interest segmentation tasks. You can set them up to look at any set of interests, opt-ins or outs and run them on a weekly basis. The results are available to query, so I think you can accomplish your goal.
