We hired them to create a page on NetCommunity. The final design was pretty good, but they didn't release the code to us, so it is difficult/impossible for us to tweak certain things without going back to them.

We used them to do a lot of customization for TeamRaiser and had a good experience. For us, TeamRaiser was really hard to work with on our own so we needed the help to make our pages look good. The downfall of course is that we always need to rely on outside help (Blackbaud or otherwise) to get a campaign up and running how we want it to look. For a regular website, it should be fairly straightforward.

We hired Blackbaud last year to build our website. It's build on WordPress, which we now use as our CMS. We still utilize Luminate for all of our forms: donation forms, surveys, event ticketing. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat more about our experience, which was so-so.

At my last organization, Project Angel Heart, we used Blackbaud to redesign our entire website using WordPress. It went live in 2014 and is still currently the Blackbaud design: https://www.projectangelheart.org/


We also used Blackbaud consultants to design an extremely custom TeamRaiser for an annual event called Pie in The Sky. You can see that here: pieintheskycolorado.org


Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The customization of TeamRaiser had more than a few errors and hiccups, but that is because we repurposed the program in a way that is really outside the box of what it is supposed to do.

We hired Blackbaud to design our website using NetCommunity.  We had them mirror the website that the hospital was using and they did exactly what we asked.  I am the one managing the updates to the website.  I have been creating new pages and adding all the content.  Sometimes it's hard but if you go to the page with the code it's easy to figure out.  We are very happy with what they provided to us.

I agree with what Alicia said. The design was nice and they listened to how we wanted it, but when we needed to make changes, it was extrememly difficult and then we had to pay again for design time.
