YTD Comparison in Dashboard

Options
Hey all,

My organization does a weekly progress report of our funds, with one column showing where we are year to date, and the second column shows where that fund was exactly one year ago (i.e. Annual Fund 1/1/17-4/21/17 vs Annual Fund 1/1/16-4/21/16). Is there a report I can run to capture this information or, even better, a dashboard I could build that would immediately update instead of having to pull campaign summary reports for each fund each week?

TIA!

  • What other reports have you tried - have you tried the comparison and summary report under Demographical and Statistic reports?

If that does not work for you this may be something best done by a custom crystal report.

I use a Fund query for this and it works great. I have it connected to a dashboard and I also can export it directly from the query into Excel, clean it up a bit and cut and paste it into a Word document to make a nice looking report. Yes, you don't usually want to export directly from a query, but this one works well that way. We also have NXT and this report matches exactly with my Fund reports on that. I would be happy to send you the query criteria that I use.

Karen, I for one would like to see if your query criteria matches what I use.  I have a dashboard set up as well.  Thank you,

If you send me an email at kstuhlfeier@spa.edu I will send you a control report for the query.

Cool idea.  I did not realize you could use the Query output to make "columns" in the dashboard.,

Fund Summary Report you can run YTD for each year side by side, use it all the time, love it.
