v4 SP12

At the University of Iowa Foundation, we have just begun testing SP12 (we are currently on SP10). Has anyone applied, or is testing SP12? If so, have you found any issues? We are interested in testing Fundraiser on the Go - we have not had good adoption with the previous version and are hoping that this one might be better. I'll provide an update on how our testing goes once we are further along with that. We are tentatively planning to install SP12 in mid-later May.

We are also currently testing SP12 (and are also on SP10).  No major issues have been encountered to this point and none of our customizations seem to be negatively affected.  We're also very interested in Fundraiser on the Go and will be actively testing this week.  Our experience with FotG during CTP testing was mainly positive but it lacked a couple of key features that would prevent us from rolling it out.  My hope is that these issues have been addressed in the SP12 release but we'll know more after our testing this week.

OSU has also begun testing on SP12 - we are seeing issues with reports rendering in TAS and anywhere you can download information -- seems to be an iframe issue - anyone else having this?

Also we are testing fundrasier on the go (FROG)  -  Since we now have HIPAA data we are required to have dual authenication - issues with making FROG work with it

On FROG, I found there is a new mobile web application - the New Features Guide under Sp12 just doesn't do a very good job of conveying this. Plus, the new feature to copy the FROG link from the Prospects area doesn't work (at least her at Iowa). I spoke with Support and they told me Blackbaud is (for now) keeping the older web application and adding FROG. We are still evaluating FROG but it appears you have to be a fundraiser (have the fundraiser constituency) to use it. It also appears to have recognition credit information and the ability to add plan participants to an Interaction. I'd be interested to hear what others think of FROG and if you are planning to support both, or if you are picking between FROG and the older mobile application.

Hi Lori and Travis,

Universoty of Guelph  will begin this month for V4SP12 and we are wondering how your testing is going? We were successful on the install and the hotfix and are currently on SP8.  We do not have many customization except for a large BBIS component that we are most worried about.  Was there any issues when going to SP10 originally (since we will be covering 4 releases)?

We had no issues moving to SP12 and are
actually in the process of testing SP13.  All of our
customizations came through unscathed in the move from SP10 to
SP12.

Good news Travis. We had a few minor bumps. We had to make a few updates to our customizations for the new Location field, had to change the query on our Address Geocode Nightly Global change job to make it run faster (job was timing out with SP12) and had to create new EFT processes (the old ones stopped returning records after SP12).

OSU did have a few issues -- one we deemed critical is there is an issue with recognition credits sticking if the batch is excepted out -- ( note we have processors intentionally except out batches for a supervisor to review if over a certain amount ) there has been an fix for it in a hot fix --- BUT when we  applied the hot fix in stage some BBIS jobs stop working -- we are in the process of troubleshooting this right now -- but we allowed SP12 to go into production (no hot fixes)  ( just have an audit query to catch the incorrect recogition credits for now)
