Why can't I activate or reactivate a participant?

Sometimes you will have to de-activate or re-activate a particpant. It is well known that you do this by visiting the Team Raiser event they are a part of, locate their participant page and simply click "Make Active" or "Make Inactive".  A few issues have come up, however, where hitting these options and confirming will not change the status.

This is likely caused by a conflict generated from their membership in a Team Raiser Participation group.  Locate their profile and peruse through their group listing. Locate the group that is a Team Raiser Participation group and remove that group. Click save and get back to their participant page on the back end.

You should now be able to "Make Active" or "Make Inactive"!
