Snapshot view of amount under discussion and achieved per campaign or fund

We need to be able to use query to report on the amount under discussion and amount pledged/recieved per campaign in a quickand simple manner to get a snapshot overview.


We need to see the total Amount Asked for proposals assigned certain statuses, per campaign, and the amount funded per campaign, which would pull in from the gifts. I'd like to include the campaign targets and amount remaining to achieve, which is why I was hoping to use campaign query. Separately, we will break the campaigns down to drill down into the individual funds that contribute to the campaign.


We link the gifts and proposals to the campaign by linking to the fund, which in turn is linked to the campaign.

But we can't pull the summary data in a campaign query. I can't see another way to pull the summary data for both gifts and proposals linked to campaigns and with the campaign data using another query type, or with export. I also can't see how to do similar using a fund query - pull in summary totals for gifts and proposals assigned a specific fund.  


Has anyone got any suggestions? We need something that the higher ups can pull off very easily with very little to no manual changes, to get a snapshot view of under discussion and achieved per appeal. I am not familiar with Crystal reports so dont feel too confident about creating something from scratch, and I would think that given that proposals is a full on module it should have full query intergration and capabilty to do this - perhaps the correct way just hasnt occured to me yet!?
