Why isn't my product appearing in the store?

When you create a new product, there are several settings that can affect its appearance in the store (or stores) where the product is added.  Here are common culprits:

  1. The product isn't published -  If you haven't clicked on publish, the product will not appear.
  2. The end date of the dates to be published is in the past.
  3. The product has inventory management turned on, and there is zero listed as the available on hand.
  4. The product is in a security category that is not visible to all users.  Most likely the product should be in the General security category, unless you would like the product to only be visible to a certain user security group, make sure that security group has Content Viewing permissions for the security category of your product. (and remember this will require the constituent to be logged in to see the product)

    I've had the experience of products not displaying after following the troubleshooting steps above.  The problem was that the preview page was cached in the internet browser, so the old version of the page kept appearing despite the changes made.

    So, if the above steps do not work, try clearing the cache of your internet browser.
